What Is Zi Wei Dou Shu
Zi Wei Dou Shu is the most systematized branch of traditional Chinese metaphysics. It uses birth date and time to construct a chart with twelve palaces, each representing a different aspect of life.

Defining the Life Palace
The Life Palace is the core palace of the Zi Wei chart, representing one’s personality, outward image, and life trajectory.
Finding Your Life Palace (Simplified): Based on birth month and birth hour, map to the twelve Earthly Branches to locate which palace is your Life Palace.
An Engineer’s Interpretation
I think of each main star as a class, where the brightness levels (Temple, Prosperous, Fallen) represent the parameter tuning of that class: Temple brightness is full configuration, Fallen is a constrained configuration.
No star is purely auspicious or inauspicious — they merely exhibit different behavioral patterns depending on their palace placement and combinations.
